I don't know a more beautiful family... the Jones are salt of the earth. It's been almost 2 years since their first family portrait session. It's a compliment to walk into their home and see those photos decorating their walls and the baby's room. Lya is growing so fast!! Thank goodness photos have the power to make time stand still....

Another Love

This is what happens when your husband has another love interest: You support him by offering a portrait session with his hot, new babe - the MV Brutale. It's been three years since he allowed himself to own a motorcycle. I don't know if he took a break because of a fatal bike accident he witnessed one day or because he was tired of paying speeding tickets, attending traffic school, and showing up to court in his best suite begging the judge for lesser fines. Whatever the case, a new season has arrived, and he and the bike make a handsome pair.

Envelopments

Okay, so I'm crafty! Can't help it. Presentation is everything. I want to hand my clients something beautiful, something that will become a keepsake. I was about to ship these prints off to Geneva, when I realized I should snap a few shots and post them, so new clients can anticipate what to expect when they receive their print orders. The colors and ribbons of the packets change depending upon the season, type of session, color scheme of the prints, and my mood, of course!

This week Katerina (aka Katty) flew on her first plane ride all the way from Geneva to Reno to meet her maternal grandma, grandpa, aunties, uncle and cousins. Afterwards, she took a car ride through the unexpected April snow to Sonoma where my husband and I had the pleasure of meeting her, too. Her eyes are captivating and her touch is affectionate and gentle. She is ALL girl! Knowing mommy and daddy deserved a little R&R alone together, I offered to babysit for a few hours. As soon as they slipped away, we played with the camera. : )

Portraits in the Park

This April marked the 2nd annual Portraits in the Park fundraiser hosted by Bridges of Promise at St. Patrick's Church. We raised over $3,000 to support tuition funds for orphans in Rulenge, Tanzania. On behalf of my partner at BOP, Karen Schuster and myself, we would like to thank everyone who participated! Together with photographers Marita Madeloni and Luis Costadoni, we had a great time photographing your families. We hope to see you again next year!
