Now, what we really couldn't "see" was that after we had made plans with them to stay with us, Alessandro would accept a new job and we would relocate to a new home an hour away. That translates to "yikes, we're nuts, insane, we've gone mad!" But for some reason, we both took the moment in stride. The four of us had an amazing reprieve from the hustle of life relaxing, eating, enjoying wineries and spa treatments in Napa, along with art exhibits and burgers. Really, who the hell are we?! Here's the proof. Now, you won't see a photo of me, because I'm always behind the camera, but are the smiles not evidence of just how care free we were? I think Elisa beating the boys in bocce was the biggest upset of our joint vacation!
Our royal guests left on a Sunday evening, and by Wednesday our home was fully packed and ready for the movers. We didn't lift a finger until Monday. I'm convinced that all of the candles that Alessandro's mom lights for him at church truly work in our lives. Really, there are angels working in more ways than one.
So, Elisa and Nicola we hear London calling! Next we meet, we'll be sure to swap out the burgers for fish and chips, have some "crisps" and share high tea together! Non vediamo l'ora!!!
